The summer 2011 issue of Leader to Leader, Leader to Leader Institute’s award-winning, quarterly journal, was recently published and now non-subscribers can benefit from the expertise contained within. The full text of four articles from issue 61 is available online:
Frances Hesselbein’s opening essay “Beyond the Distracting Clamor, We Hear the Leaders of the Future” provides the insight that “the language of respect, collaboration, common mission, common ground seems to be part of the past, yet…it is needed now more than ever,” and provides strength in finding a solution.
Patti-Lee Hoffmann’s “Discover the Secrets of Becoming a Great Place to Work” provides a detailed account of her own workplace development and her 13 most important traits in creating a great work environment.
William C. Taylor’s “Are You ‘Humbitious’ Enough to Lead?” observes that “as a business culture, we’ve made the job of leadership virtually impossible to do”, and outlines a new approach to overcoming this hurdle.
John A. Quelch and Katherine E Jocz’s “Respect Your Customers” argues that customers “want marketplaces where all customers are treated with respect, where all customers respect other customers and enterprises, and where businesses respect competitors and suppliers.”
Issue 61 contains a total of twelve full-length articles and columns, available through a Leader to Leader subscription. New members of Leader to Leader Institute also receive a complementary one-year subscription to the journal.
