University of Pittsburgh on the 3rd Hesselbein Global Leadership Academy

Forty-six global students –– from Kazakhstan, Mexico, Ghana, Singapore, Australia, Germany and Romania, to name a few places -- arrived on the University of Pittsburgh campus on July 23 to partake in the third annual Hesselbein Global Academy for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement Summit . In addition to working on their own ideas, each of the eight "Teams" spent one day with a nonprofit organization in the city of Pittsburgh, were presented with an obstacle the company was currently challenged by, and, by the end of the afternoon, delivered a presentation addressing goals and objectives the organization could use to move forward. The PittChronicle, the University of Pittsburgh’s own regular newspaper, published a recap of the event with student reflections, campus impact and community appreciation. Read the full article and make sure to look out for Hesselbein Global Academy graduates in their future endeavors.
